Frequently Asked Questions

We welcome your questions. If you have a question which is not answered within our website or on this page, please contact us.
Are there any prerequisites to admission into your program?
Enrollees must be 23 years or older. Education Year requires completion of the Foundation Year or its equivalent. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is advisable, but not a requirement for the program.
Can I be a part-time student in this program?
This is sometimes possible for 2nd or 3rd year students. Please contact us for further conversation about this.
Are the credits I earn at WTEE transferable to other institutions?
We have no formal arrangements with other schools, but students have worked out individual arrangements for credit transfers.
Do you offer scholarships?
No, but in the Education Year, we do receive AWSNA loan-to-grant funds for qualifying students.
Is completion of the Foundation Year required for admission into the Education Year?
Yes, or its equivalent.
Do most graduates find teaching positions?
Yes. There is a shortage of trained teachers given the robust growth of Waldorf Schools world-wide.
Is the Foundation Year open to individuals who don't want to become teachers?
Yes. The Foundation Year is part of the full two-year teacher education program, but students may enroll for the Foundation Year only.
